This is an old revision of the document!
The Toshiba T-series portable workstations were powerful for their time. The rugged computers were built to be carried around. One of the main design goals of Toshiba was to make the computer a full desktop replacement, focusing on expandability, adding such features as a high quality full travel keyboard, bright and sharp screen, and a fast processor to do complex tasks such as working with spreadsheets and databases. As a testament to Toshiba's high standards for build quality, and a large enthusiast network, a majority of T computers have stood the test of time and survive to this day.
These computers are sought after. Their 80's design, “very retro” orange plasma screen, high quality keyboard and all-in-one portability are making this computer a collector's item. Rather than letting this computer fade into obscurity, I figured it deserves a beacon on the Internet. A website for these systems, sharing community information, technical data, utilities and documentation for everyone to peruse. My only goal is to support these computers because I firmly believe that it has earned it's place among the likes of Osborne 1, IBM PS/2 P70, Hyperion and Compaq Portables, and as a group, form one of the milestones of portable computing history.
